F.A.Q.'s
Frequently Asked Questions
What Resources are used when you do your searches?
When do we get notified when a person is located?
-
Only when both parties have been cross-checked and verified with either proof of Documents, Case Profiles,
Photos and by Phone. In most cases, all parties are required to undergo personal Interviews.
-
GSP American-Thai Research contacts each party separately and conducts an interview by phone, e-mail, mail
or in person as required.
-
GSP American-Thai follows a firm protocol and set of instructions to verify that we have in fact located
the correct person(s).
Is either party aware of that someone is searching for
them?
-
No! During the interview process, neither party is aware that a pending search is in-progress.
-
We do not set or bring expectations up to either party. We keep our conversations at the lowest levels as
possible.
Will either party be able to write, e-mail or phone each
other during the search & interview process?
-
No! During the interview and investigation process Information about either party will not be revealed
or released to anyone.
-
We will reveal e-mail addresses, phone numbers, home addresses etc. only after we have verified and confirmed
that we have a 100% match.
If I do find my American-Thai child in Thailand, will
I be able to bring to America to visit or live?
-
Yes! However it's extremely difficult for an American-Thai as a Thai citizen to be awarded an American Tourist
Visa to visit America.
-
The United States Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand has very strict guidelines to follow when issuing a Tourist
Visa to a Thai citizen.
-
We can assist and advise the US parent and American-Thai concerning DNA testing.
Where can I get more information on applying for American
Visas?
What happens if my father does not want to see or hear
from me?
-
It is possible that a father will not accept and offer to see his child. GSP American-Thai Research is
not liable for the father's final decision.
-
We can assist the American-Thai in the event their biological father refuses any contact. If required (case
by case option), we may send one of our agents to personally talk with the father and try and make him understand how critical
his final decision will be. This means that no information about his child will ever be released to the father nor will any
information about the father be released to the American-Thai child.
